Tops easily.

Some more about Meeks' game.

•Meeks' 54 points are the most by a single player in any regulation game in the past decade.

• No player from a "BCS" conference had scored this many points since Arizona State's Eddie House went for 61 in an overtime game against California in 2000.

• Six Division I teams scored fewer points than Meeks Tuesday night. Memphis, the 2008 national runner-up, outscored Meeks by a point. Kentucky itself scored 54 points in a win over West Virginia back on Nov. 29.

They had the lead and the momentum and they simply blew it. Those losses are tough...

In other news, UVA is just praying to cover the 15.5 point spread for tonight's game. I'm staying far away from Charlottesville tonight as it should be a blowout of epic proportions. UNC is pisssed at dropping their first two ACC games and they will take it out on the Wahoos.

Terrapins' Vasquez is unhappy with home fans
Quote:
■ Point guard Greivis Vasquez of Maryland put an index finger to his lips last Saturday against Georgia Tech to tell the home crowd to quiet down.

Fans in the Comcast Center weren't happy with Maryland trailing by eight. The Terrapins came back to win 68-61, but Vasquez still had some choice words for the fans.

"I don't want people to come over to me that don't believe in what I do and what I'm trying to do for the team," he said. "We're 12-3. We were 9-5 last year about this time.

"What they hell were they thinking? It's a completely different team. If they don't want to believe in us, they can get the hell out."

Kid does not how to control his emotion and he often turns out looking like the fool. I honestly believe he will head for the NBA after this season ..... or I should say, TRY.

In ot...thanks to Horner...against a team worse than us lmao. I'm here to tell ya Herb was the better coach and recruiter and you know how I felt about us needing to replace Herb. What I've had to accept is that the best coaches either dont want to have to recruit against UNC and Duke or the powers that be at NCSU refuse to pony up the cash...either way Sidney's not cutting it. He mishandled the Hickson situation last year and he has failed to find even an average PG since taking over. As a former PG and considering how important one is to his scheme I expect better.

In all seriousness, If NCSU had kept Herb, you guys would be top 10 or top 15 in the nation. Chris Wright would be in Raleigh instead of G-town. That's the main problem with State is the PG position.

Yep and it sucks because Herb could never seem to get over the hump but was usually above average. I thought the grass would be greener but I also thought we could lure a coach with a much better pedigree than Lowe. Barnes or Calipari might have been an upgrade but in hindsight we should have been more appreciative of Herb and his boring, low scoring, Princeton O.
