Thomas and Tryon have both returned KO in college. Not that I'd advocate that change now, but I think we're definitely going to have to address it in camp next year.

absolutely !! if that was tryon, it would have been a TD

Agreed, I think it'd be foolish to think that Zorn would trust the rooks right now considering his track record (Horton notwithstanding) with them thus far.
O/T: now that Springles may be back do you think Horton goes to the bench soon? I mean they may look to protect Springs' hoo-hoo and allow him to play some safety. Get Landry up on the LOS again and allow them to take stock of what they have in D-Hall before next season.

Hell no. Horton actually makes a huge impact on this defense. Now that Washington's out, I'd actually say that we just run out of that cobra with Springs as the third safety and two linebackers.
And that's why I'm not a coach.

I would think we'd see more Cobra. The again, I thought we'd see Cobra against Dallas, given how effective it was against them in the first meeting.

I couldn't agree with this position more. If we are going to use him for < 5 carries a game then he is a waste of a roster spot. Rock is just as capable and even though he isn't a great blocker he is a much more capable blocker then alexander.

With our secondary, i would guess that we won't last too long without an injury to springs/smoot/rogers.

As long as its a long enough look to hammer down the last nail in the coffin of Springles' '09 season while giving the coaches a chance to see whether or not Meangelo's actually lost it at 24 I think it may be worth it ....

You know we spent a draft pick on a punter that was so bad he only lasted 6 weeks.... why cant we draft a kick returner that will make a impact and possibly account for some game breakers. Why cant we take a chance on Thomas or tyron for this or even Hall... it cannot be any worse then it is... and even if we fumble back there once or twice we live with it... but something has got to give here.

i think the "fumble once in a while", is unacceptable to the coaches.. that is why we have rock doing it..

Octavien was quite a player at Nebraska. Supposedly he was passed in the draft cause of his inability to stay healthy and a broken leg. I would like to see him do well, but Gatewood is a loss. They should try to get Vince Hall from Tech on the PS, now that guy was a baller.
