I'm not a college football type of guy, so I won't comment on the names,

but

1. New Orleans not happy with Bush and Pierre Thomas? With the help they need on defense?

2. Dolphins going for more defensive help? How bout WR help there?

3. Colts going for a DT? Didn't they trade for the Bills DT and give up draft picks? They go out and get themselves yet ANOTHER DT?

4. Why don't we grab the DT that you have the Colts taking? (I'm not really sure if the dude would fit our system, I'm guessing that's what you're going to say).

5. Vikings going with another TE? Shiancoe is their top receiver, don't they need another WR threat to complement Berrian to bring them to the next level? The defense is in need of cornerbacks, and the offense needs a QB and better WRs to complement Berrian.

I like the line of thinking, but as of right now Unger in 5th round is unrealistic. Great first two picks though if Blache can light a fire under RJF it would be a huge steal and Aaron Curry is as complete a linebacker as you'll find in this draft and would start right away.

Bush is effectively useless unless you have an effective grinding back who can make the 150 carries between the tackles.

They're very high on Bess and Ginn.

McCargo failed his physical and the trade was voided.

I think we're going to address the DT spot in FA.

They seem set at CB with Griffin, Winfield and McCauley. Shiancoe isn't their top WR, he only has 27 catches for 373 yards. I think they're going the FA/Trade route for a QB and get more targets in the draft.

Unger should be a 2nd rounder, but Centers(and DTs) get knocked down because of their position. I think Unger could go from 4th-6th. Mack should be a top 15 pick, he'll probably be a mid 2nd.

I'm a big fan of RJF, he just needs not to be the top player on a Dline and he'll be a good pro. Aaron Curry is a freak, he could go anywhere in the first. He might be the best Lb(and maybe the best defender) on the Skins next year if they got him.

Only (1) true defensive end going in the first round? Geez, this year must suck for teams looking for a beast pass rusher...

I like A. Curry, but with the number of quality FA OLB this year I think we'd be better off addressing one of the lines with an impact player in the draft and using FA to get a OLB.

Akh, do you think with the given FAs that the skins have, and RFAs, do you think they would get any comp picks this year?

The problem with that is by the time we pick odds are everyone worth any thing across the line will be gone. Hardy, Selvie, Jackson and Marks should all be gone by the time we pick. If Curry or Laurinitus is there then im all for picking either of them. Alex Mack would be a good pick if we could get him there but If we trade back and pick up draft choices we could also look at Duke Robinson in the second.

Well, guys like Greg Hardy and George Selvie could be first rounders: Hardy, if he can show that he's finally healthy-Selvie, if another 3-4 defense props up in the NFL.

There's only 4 guys at olb worth a damn in FA: Dansby, Suggs, Bart Scott and Angelo Crowell. Dansby will want a fortune(and I doubt we give it to him). Same for Suggs. Scott probably not leaving Balto and Crowell probably will rejoin G-Dub in Jax.

I don't think we'll see many comp picks, if any.

Interesting mock AKH. My comments:
The first thing that stuck me was that Mays going @ #6. From what I've read Mays is considered an athletic freak but doesn't have the college production to justify that high a pick. He's a definite 1st rounder though. Much the same thoughts regarding DE Micheal Johnson. All being said, your mock does a very good job of addressing team needs.

AS for the Skins picks - I like most of them. Not the biggest fan of RJF. Personally I would look at the GTech DTs (Walker, Richard) in the 3rd. If we got Unger in the 5th I would be ecstatic.

Comp picks - we may get one for Pierson Prioleau who is a backup in JAX. It also depends on how Brunell is classified. The Skins voided his contract so I don't know if that counts as being cut or if his contract is expired - if it is the latter we may get a pick for him. No more than 1 or 2 late rounders, though.

I would look a Leroy Hill from Seattle. I think he is a FA.

Mays isn't very productive, but teams don't like to throw anywhere near him. He's as good a safety prospect to come out since Landry.

I believe they would count him as a cut. We didn't lose much, and while we didn't sign anyone really, Im not expecting anything more than a 7th.

Yeah, but I'm not counting on them letting him bolt until I see who their new coach is.

was watching the bama/gator game with an eye towards looking at Cody, the DT that some services have going to the skins.. reminded me of shaun rogers.. a massive fat man who looks like he tires over time but flashes.. for sure, he didnt look to me like the second coming of Ngata..

if we go DL in the first round who do we select ?
if we go OL in the first round ?

i agree we will take any skilled player over a lineman if history is any guide

i just dont see too many FA's DT's out there if we dont get a shot at haynesworth.. this looks like a 1 player year at DT...there will be others for sure like shaun cody of the lions, but they all appear to be rotational players.. we already have that type of guy..
