that would be a solid draft for the skins.. but, i think the fallout from the seahawks taking wells, would be that morris and or jones gets released... the skins should jump on either of those guys if that happens, and use the later pick on a linebacker who is a special teams warrior..
i am also going to assume by your draft that linebacker and o line will be addressed in free agency with signings like dansby, runyon, scott, boley, gross...
obviously we wont sign multiple free agents for any one position, just throwing out possibles...

I wouldn't mind seeing what FA acquisitions the Skins would make for them to pick these guys since CB and RB would be luxury picks IMO.
My head would explode if the Skins took Freeman.
WTF is up with Oher? I've seen him as high as top 5 and as low as bottom of the first round.

I honestly don't think we're going to do much in free agency, even in that scenario I lay out. Boley maybe.

That presumes that the skins see the same problems we do. I see no evidence of that. I think that the skins operate on the notion that all is well, no matter how tall the flames are.

He'll be a top pick at the end of the day.

I dunno about that. JLC's blog last week specifically mentioned both lines brought up by his sources.
Isn't Freeman a big, strong armed QB? Does he fit a WCO?

nice job. like the jerry pick and vazquez would be a good fit for the wco. but the freeman thing. i think that would be a terrible mistake to pick him so well vinny might draft him. i dislike all qbs in this draft outside of stafford

There's something odd about those comments. PFW, towards the end of the season, was saying that the skins were very high on Rinehart, now he's some moron who is a waste? Does not compute.

Not really, but don't bother telling Vinny that lol. I think they'll take Mark Sanchez if he's there at 13 also(and he's not a WCO prospect).

I actually like Foster. He's a solid RB, but didn't he have The Fumbles at one point at UT?

if they take a qb at 13, i will be floored.. moreover, i would read it as saying that zorn is on the clock to do the same kind of coaching job that harbaugh and smith got out of their respective first round qb's.. and if they do that, they better trade JC for whatever they can get for him around the draft.. it would be inexcusable to simply let him play out 2009 and then leave.. get what they can get for him, and use it to shore up the oline. go with collins for 2009 unless sanchez looks like a world beater
on the other hand, what it would do is buy vinny at least 2-3 more years to find out if sanch-freeman is the real deal.. zorn ? maybe he gets an extra 1 year, but i would see this as vinny trying to extract some time and pinning JC clearly on gibbs..
on the other hand... if nothing else, starting qb is the most important position on the team by far.. so a chance to get a real stud might be too hard to pass up
i think they will score at least 2 -3 free agents this offseason.. second tier guys that wont break the bank.. but even if we land a couple of late round compensatory picks, there are far too many holes to fix with just the draft alone..

agree with that i think we keep monty, hall, evans(all decent deals well hall like 40 mill)i think we land a lb like crowell/crowder/boley and a dt like haye/cole/bernard. and possibly a olinemen or two(if two then we dont sign a dt).there are 3 decent college kickers in this draft/udfa which is a good thing

Yup. But he has enough talent for a flyer pick.

No matter how dumb Vinny can be, I seriously doubt he'll go into next season with Campbell in a walk year and nothing else if he doesn't intend on signing Campbell. If Sanchez is there, he'll take him. Almost guaranteed.

Stafford's the only stud QB in this draft frankly. Sanchez has major flaws. I actually like Rhett Bomar in the late rounds.

so if they grab sanchez, what does JC bring them ? where do they ship him ?
and i will add this much.. the abuse that snyderrato got before this would pale compared to how badly they would be pilloried for giving up on JC, rather than fixing the offensive line.. they would savage them unless sanchez lit up the nfl the way ryan did..it would be UGLY..

I can see Pioli flexing his muscles and bending the Skins over a desk to get him. Watch out if it does happen....
