I defended Fridge based on him providing the most successful football seasons at MD since Bobby Ross and Boomer Esiason were in College Park. I can no longer defend what is going on in College Park.
Losing to Duke in Football should mean automatic termination. Simply inexcusable.
Sorry Ralph. I am completely off the bandwagon now.

What was the score Keino? They killed my Pack a couple of weeks ago 49-28....sigh.

17-14. I realize they are improved, but they are still Duke.
WTF is going on in College Park these days?

I go there now and I honestly couldn't tell you. With his replacement already lined up, I have a feeling Fridge will be "retiring" over winter break.

What a huge...HUGE win for UNC last night in Blacksburg! We needed it badly.
Our OL is finally starting to get healthy and it's showing with our running game.

I was rooting for you guys. Congrats! Beating Tech at Lane Stadium during a night game is near impossible.
If UVA can go down to Chapel Hill and hold the Tar Heels to only 3 points...then I think we finally have a shot at beating Tech in C'ville later next month. *FINGERS CROSSED* No matter how many loses we have this year, all will be peaceful if Groh can find a way to finally beat the Hokies.

I don't know about the offense but there are at least 5 NFL starters on UNC's defense. I still can't figure out how they lost to FL State.

You probably know, but we had an 18 point lead midway through the 3rd quarter. Just like the Redskins, no lead is ever safe. I'm still pissed about that one...

I'd take Carter, Sturdivant, Austin, Quinn and Deanta Williams right now for whatever starters the Skins have at those positions. Ryan Williams looks like a natural replacement for Portis too, all the way down to the untimely fumble.

RW is sick. Is this the first time he has had fumble problems?

Inside word from FSU is that:
A) Bowden is coming back for another year
B) FSU is WILLING to payout Jimbo Fisher the $5 million if he does not become head coach in a year. Surprising, considering the budget slashes.

For those who haven't heard yet:
Maryland has officially gathered all of the money needed to buyout ALL of the coaches, including CIW Franklin. Supposedly a top stockholder/manager for google has a dad who is a professor at Maryland and he donated almost all of the money. The buyout is expected to be announced during the first week of December.
All reports indicate that these are the top three candidates on Maryland's wish list (in order):
1. Brian Billick
2. Tommy Tuberville
3. Ken Niumatalolo

If I were Maryland, I'd switch up #1 and #2.
Smoot, if you wish, you can start a new thread about this. It's worthy of its own thread IMO. Big news and there's a lot of Terp fans here on hR that may not read this thread. JMO

I wouldn't AND in addition to Billick, bring in Turner Gill as the OC (pay him more than he's making at Buffalo).

No need to bring in an ego like Billick. Navy's coach should be just fine. Look at how happy GT currently is with their former Navy coach.
