Default Top sports doctor under investigation for providing PEDs

http://www.nytimes.com/2009/12/15/sports/15doctor.html

Quote:
A Canadian doctor who has treated many N.F.L. players as well as Olympic medalists like Donovan Bailey and the world’s top golfer, Tiger Woods, is under criminal investigation in the United States. He is suspected of providing athletes with performance-enhancing drugs, according to several people who have been briefed on the investigation.

The F.B.I. investigation of Dr. Anthony Galea, a sports medicine specialist who has treated hundreds of professional athletes across many sports, follows his arrest on Oct. 15 in Toronto by the Canadian police. Human growth hormone and Actovegin, a drug extracted from calf’s blood, were found in his medical bag at the United States-Canada border in late September. Using, selling or importing Actovegin is illegal in the United States.

There's a ton of athletes connected to this doctor. I have a feeling this is merely the beginning of the story.

Lol, the giant elephant in the room with regards to Tiger the last few years has been the fact that he's now built like Karl Malone and has John McEnroe's temper. It wouldn't surprise me at all if he were doping. That dude is having a lousy december.

Man, if Tiger is on some list showing he got PED's, he may just hang em up. That would be a shame.

Like Charles Barkley said, "You don't get paid millions of dollars for playing golf! You get paid millions of dollars to put up with this (bleep)."

The quote from his agent might be the greatest reax quote ever.

Tiger seems to have a lot of demons he's tried to hide from the public. Not just the affairs, but it also seems like he has substance abuse issues(pain pills). I wouldn't be surprised to hear that he was blood doping also. And if that comes out, he's done. He can't continue on the tour no matter what.

My prayers may have been answered this year: perhaps Tiger will have to skip the Ryder Cup again this year. Without that douche-nozzle on the team, the US might have a chance to repeat.
