Good Luck Jim Zorn. Although you weren't prepared for the job of head coach - the Skins problems were not your fault.

Always sad to see a nice guy be let go, but when the results arent there you really dont have a choice.
On a side note Redskins 1 is in Centennial, CO at the moment.

I'm so sick of this "its not your fault" Jim Zorn stuff coming from the media. Look its hard to work for Dan and Vinny, and very few people outside of Joe Gibbs had success, but Zorn was an awful coach, and play caller. From stupid decisions on 4th down, trick plays and to keep EL on punt return duties. This guy was not a very good head coach. He may be some day(I doubt it)

Zorn is a good man. HC no, but good man yes. He was put into a tough situation and handled it well. Good luck on your next coaching stint.

allen is having a press conference at 1230pm so maybe we'll hear something official about the next head coach.

I am thinking they will announce the head coach at that time. Otherwise the whole press conference will be 1 minute about the dismissal of Zorn and 30 minutes of questions on the who will be the new head coach and what will happen with the current staff and Jason Campbell. There is no point in having a press conference unless they want to continue the sham that they have or will be further complying with the " Rooney Rule "

Anyone know if Shanahan recently booked a flight to the Washington area?

All the best to Zorn. Now if Snyder would just go.

I have a very strange feeling that Allen and Co. are going to put something very "out of left field" together. I don't know if it will be Shanny or not but I feel like it's going to be something we didn't expect.

Will it be Buddy Ryan or that coach from Texas Tech that got fired?

I don't think so. I think they'll take a day to let it marinate, then announce the hiring of Shanahan tomorrow, with a press conference on Wednesday. I think Bruce Allen may use the presser to give a "State of the Redskins Union" if you will.
