Norv Extended for 4 more Years
....and the madness continues....
www.espn.com is reporting that the Chargers have extended Norv Turner for 4 more years... that should do wonders for their season ticket sales..

what they need to do is sign kaeding for the regular season, give him a made up injury before the playoffs and put him on IR after the last regular season game, and sign somebody else for the playoffs.

Its a tough decision to make; especially for the Chargers. What happens if you make a coaching change and you end up not making the playoffs for a few years? Makes the times Turner has done it consistantly look pretty good. Pitt held onto Cowher for many years while he bowed out of the playoffs. He finally broke through.
Dallas - on the other hand, shouldn't consider Phillips' lone playoff win as job security. That franchise is in need of a change to create a spark. Luckily for us Redskins fans...that didn't happen.

Turner, as Phillip Rivers goes, Turner goes.
Couldn't agree more about Wade though. dallass needs a new HC to spark their team. They have the talent on defense to win a SB. It's amazing they don't have enough talent on the O side of the ball to win.
It has to fall on HC/OC head at some point.

The fact they only scored 7 points is ridiculous at home against the Jets. 4 year deal is crazy. That team is going to lose some free agents this offseason.

It's the lame duck coach scenario; Turner was entering his last year and if you don't extend then you risk losing the team if they falter and it sends a message out which can affect free agency. Carolina hasn't extended Fox and it will be an ongoing story (and likely distraction) next year.

Well, two things are guaranteed. Death and the fact that neither San Diego nor Dallas will be winning a super bowl anytime soon, lol.
