Should Wizards pick Vasquez or Reynolds?
Greivis Vasquez has been slowly moving up mock draft at nbadraft.net into late 1st round. He has really shown leadership and the kind of killer instinct you want to see for a scorer in the last dozen or so games.
And I always loved Scottie Reynolds toughness (projected late 2nd round).
Anyone else love to see these guys w/ the Wizards?

The Wizards should sell them to the highest bidder.

I don't watch much college basketball, can you guys elaborate on why they shouldn't pick Vasquez?

They have a late 1st rounder from Cleveland as part of the Jamison trade.
IF Cleveland wins it all it, and if the standings stay where they are, the 'Zards would have the 8th, 30th, and 38th picks.
Vasquez may take a lot of shots (many ill advised), but what some people call "cocky" others call "intense" and "confident".
I just like his energy.

As a UMD student, it took me until late last year to really come around to Vasquez. I wouldn't mind having him on the Wizards though.

Let someone else take a shot on Vasquez. I don't like him in the NBA.

I don't think he shoots well enough to be a #2 and he is too small to be a #3.

I think he'd be a good pickup in the second round. NBA wise I see him as the 10 - 15 min. 8-10 points and 2-4 asists.

That was the best we got out of Juan Dixon - and we reached for him with the 16th pick. Vasquez has more size. I agree he'd be a good 2nd round pickup w/ the stats you list. I still like his intensity.

I would love to have either of these guys on the Wizards!
What a great draft if we could somehow end up with Turner, Reynolds, and Vasquez. Turner for his triple double type of game and overall production. Reynolds toughness, unselfish leadership and high basketball IQ. Vasquez's passionate play and clutch shooting (The one he had off the glass against Duke the other night was absurd, as was the buzzer beater that didn't count because of Gary Williams timeout).
The Wiz are probably going to select a big guy since drafting 3 guards wouldn't be best way to go. I want Turner but if we don't end up with the 2nd overall pick I would like Demarcus Cousins, the Lithuanian Donatas Motiejunas, or Greg Monroe.

Funny you define perfectly what I like about each of the three guys you mention. I know some people don't like Vasquez, but he seems to have "it" whatever it is...that tangible quality of being able to make the winning play... sort of like Arenas pre-injury when he was hitting those daggers at the end of games.
Also agree it's unlikely they will draft three guards. Also have no idea what will happen with Arenas. I would be happy with Turner and either Vasquez or Reynolds.
If we don't get Turner it's a tough call as there is a big dropoff in my mind after Wall and Turner. Lots of people like Wesley Johnson (effective scorer) and I think Cousins has a lot of potential.
Funny in the last few games, the Wizards have been shooting a better percentage overall and are actually developing a post game with McGee and Blatche (mini-Bosch). Unfortunately they still don't play good defense and their 3-point shooting has really been bad lately. Adding another inside presence (especially a defensive minded big body) and another legit scorer / 3 point shooter would help.
But I fear it is going to be a long road just back to mediocrity...

The Wiz will have to get fortunate with the ping pong balls, but I'd like me some Evan Turner please.
