Why didn't we go after Holmes?
Soooooo, if a 4th round pick was all it took, then why didn't we pull the trigger on Santonio? I was NOT a fan of the McNabb deal, but it seems like a young talent like Holmes would merit a 4th rounder, and we might of been able to do a 5th given that the Steelers would've liked to have gotten him out of the AFC. No deal, really? Isn't he just the type of receiver we need here?

Certainly better than any player we could find in the 4th or 5th round though, isn't he? I mean McNabb is in a contract year, and he is so injury prone that he never makes it through a complete season. At least Holmes is young and can stretch the field.

One can argue the Jets are a WR aways from being a SB contender in 2010. You can't make the same case for the Redskins and as such, I have ZERO interest.

good player, but a history of problems. a 4-game drug suspension coming down this week, and final year of his contract. a 5th rounder for a 12-game rental? no thanks....

Or you could make the argument that Braylon Edwards will become available soon (since basically Holmes and Edwards are the same guy) and could be had for NO draft picks. Just a thought....

Agree with all who see this as a one year, 12 game, head case player !
The FO has to be more judicious in its overall player selection.

Well I guess we'll just have to see how it pans out, but seems cheap for a Super Bowl MVP. I hear what you all are saying about his attitude and such, but Marshall has the same problems. Time will tell if this was a good pick up, even with a 4 game suspension looming.

well Marshall might be a selfish/headcase type.... but i dont think he's been in trouble with the law.
Holmes now has 4 incidents involving police and now a drug suspension.
