The last 2 picks made this a decent, to tolerable draft. I love the Capers pick; and watch the sports science video. That was amazing.

Weren't people talking about Jevan Snead as one of the best QBs in the draft a while ago?

That's not much smaller than the Steelers' outside guys and a perfect size for an inside guy.

Joining the party late, but your Washington Redskins 2010 draft looks pretty dadgum impressive, especially since the last guy was projected by most as a 2nd or 3rd round pick.
Trent Williams
Donovan McNabb
Jeremy Jarmon
Perry Riley
Adam Carriker
Dennis Morris
Terrence Austin
Erik Cook
Selvish Capers

My bad I thought you meant as the HC.
I was off in a different world I guess.
The thing that a lot of people point to, however, that does have some merit is the fact that if you look at the difference between his headcoaching there with John Elway, and then without, it's staggering the difference. He was great when he had a HOF QB but didnt do too well to replace the guy and didn't do much after he retired.
of course that should be expected.

That would be Todd McSh** for brains based on his Cotton Bowl game against the pretty poor Texas Tech defense. Everyone else thought he was a huge project. Still a surprise he didn't go at all.

And Snead doesn't get picked. Maybe his off the field stuff didn't go unnoticed.

Wasn't just him. Look at what Prisco said last year:

He's a strong-armed junior who has the same type of arm that Stafford has. He will be "The Man" next year. You wait and see.

And Belicheat didn't win it without Tom Brady and Dungy didn't win it without Manning and Sean Payton didn't win it without Drew Brees, and Phil Jackson didn't win it without Michael Jordan or Kobe and on and on
Here are Shanahan's records after Elway left:
6-10
11-5
8-8
9-7
10-6
10-6
13-3
9-7
7-9
8-8
Hall of Fame stuff? No But in the modern age of football that's pretty darn impressive.

I think fielding decent-to-good teams that consistently is the best you're going to get out of a coach. It's certainly better than anything we've had since Gibbs I.

It's not. It's more protypical than anything else. What gets ridiculous is when the team thinks the 275 lb Lorenzo Alexander can be an inside linebacker. Patrick Willis who is one of the best inside linebackers in the game is 6-1 240 lbs

Because, usually, when a team passes on a guy 3 or 4 times who should have been gone 4 rounds earlier, it's almost a lock that they don't have a whole lot of interest. Lucky for us, I was wrong and they used their last pick on what might turn out to be one of the best value picks of the draft.
