Default Anybody think we got a playoff team?

I think so on paper. I think our D will be nasty, especially with the new D-Cordinator. Our O-Line is not great, but it's a 100% improvment from last year and we have a pro bowl QB. I mean S.Moss could and should be a stud this year. This is the 1st time in his career that he has a real QB throwing to him. Also we have 3 very good RBs - 2 pounders and 1 home run guy. And lets not forget Cooley and F.Davis. Man I really feel optimistic for this year.

I dont know maybe I am drinking the Redskins Kool aid, but IMO this has been 1 of the best off seasons in a long time.

Anybody else pumped and feeling like we have a playoff team?

I'd be happy with 8-8.

I'd NEVER be happy with 8-8.

I'm just happy for CHANGE.

But I sincerely HOPE we jell and make the playoffs. And that the Egirls DON'T.

depends upon keeping McNabb healthy.. we went a long way towards that in the draft, but we still need someone we can count on as a starter at RT. i know we have Hickes penciled in.. at the worst, he should be as solid as Bridges was for the Cards last year..
. plus, Williams is going to have to grow up mighty fast-- the same way Chris Samuels did.

if the O line gels, we could be very competitive in our division

perhaps but we are perennially the champs of the off season and chumps of the regular season.

i like shanny now but at first i did'nt just because snydero picked him.

but i think he is just enough ahole to push this team beyond its limits. that should be a playoff appearance and maybe even a postseason win or 2. hail!

I could see the skins winning 9 or maybe 10 games, which could get them in the playoffs. I'm more worried about the D than the O, based on Shanahan's track record. I'm glad the Skins still have Haynesworth, though.

we have a ton of DL players and hybrids.. the competition should be absolutely fierce
you wonder what will happen to a guy like Jarmon who was just finding his niche last year before getting injured.. now he has to rehab, and at the same time learn an entirely new position and scheme. it puts him against guys like Orakpo, Wilson, Jackson, Carter, Gatewood- some of whom have played the position before, and some of whom havent..

I'm thinking that wild card is definitely possible. Although, I thought that last year. The main difference this year is that we have exceedingly competent coaches running the show - so I'd like to think our players will fall in line and win those close games

We have to make the playoffs otherwise the trade for McNabb was a huge failure. and might I add we only have McNabb for this one year.

I worry mostly about the DL free agents that Shanny brings in. He really did an awful job selecting DL-men during the last 5 or so years in Denver, both in the draft and free agency.

Anything is possible. That being said, I wouldn't bet on it, especially with our schedule.

I think that the O-Line gelling is the make or break if we're a playoff team or not. If they're unable to do even a "decent job" of keeping McNabb upright he probably won't make it through the entire season (with his age/injury history) and I just don't see Grossman or Brennan leading this team to the playoffs.

its possible that we're a playoff team ..its also possible that we go anywhere from 6-10 to 8-8 and miss the playoffs but staying in all the games and being competitive..i think our offense will be much better if our O-line can gel..everyone talks about how we don't have a great WR i think Moss could be that with a QB that can throw deep and we will depend alot on our TE's ..as for the defense turnovers are key and we need to get as many sacks as last year if not more..and not to mention we have real coaches now who know what to do in certain situations

My prediction-(9-7)

+1, particulary if it looks like the team has taken the strides to be a 10-12 win team in '11. I'm always okay with doubling the previous year's win total.

I'm not really sure about making the playoffs but I really do believe we will be competitive and I will no longer have to hope and pray when we are on offense.
