Which is strange on so many levels. It was a preseason game so he could have easily sat out without making up an excuse. And if you were legitimately being selfless in order to help a teammate why immediately tell the media all about it?

As with anything Gil-related, it has to be about him. The 'look at me' act was much easier to stomach when he was producing on the court. Now it's just annoying.
