You catch what 265-pound David Bowens did yesterday to Drew Brees and the Saints?
Hall would still get my vote, but it's not as lopsided as you're making it out to be.

D. Hall will be the D player of the week for the NFL, and rightly so, but IMO maybe Chi doesn't throw pass in the 4th qtr if they are up 21-10. AH made the amazing play at the goal line, which Shanny said was the play of the game (and I agree).

Great play, yes, but Cutler scored anyway. When I saw the replay I was like "ah [crap] it's gonna be overturned." But Chicago didn't challenge, thank God.
So we should thank the Bears coaching staff and replay people before we thank AH.

Cutler may have gotten in, but I still think Fletcher and AH made fantastic defense plays in an absolutely critical situation. It's fascinating to want to give more credit to Lovie and the refs than to our players.

Yea, I mis-read your post as Fantastic logic instead of Fascinating initially. After realizing the mistake, I figured that it was still semi-appropriate so I left it there. LOL

If AH doesn't make the play then there is nothing to thank the Bears for because Cutler scores.

But the point is he DID score just the refs and Lovie Smith handed us one.

I'd say instead: If AH doesn't make the play, Cutler would have scored so obviously that the refs would have caught it without the need for a video replay.

+1
Therefore, AH deserves more credit than Lovie Smith and staff!

My point was that how often to referees make mistakes? How often to opposing coaches make mistakes?
Now compare that to how often a defense faces 1st-and-goal on its own half-yard line and does this: DL #1 stands up QB, LB comes in for strip, DL #2 comes up with recovery. Not too often, particular not the Redskins and not in a spot that important.
So when the defense makes a borderline herculean play like that I'm not going to "first" thank Lovie and the refs, I'm going to to "first" thank the defense for several awesome individual efforts that forced said referee and coach into difficult spots.

Herculean? He was Greek. You sound Roman, Homer.
