Now Standard Charter is upset and now there are rumors that he will be sold. I don't believe that will happen but all of this off-the-pitch drama is going to be a distraction to the club...and they have more things to worry about right now, such as staying above 7th place and winning a trophy at Wembley in 2 weeks.

Evra is an idiot too. Unescessary on both sides.

This is a golden opportunity for Tottenham to win the FA cup but since they'll be in the chase for 3rd and competing on both fronts that tie, leading to a rematch and further schedule congestion, was almost as bad as a loss. Didn't see the game though so I'm not sure what happened.

Huge confidence booster for Liverpool...and that should help motivate them for Wembley this Saturday.
Not a big fan of drawing Stoke @ Anfield for the FA Cup quarterfinals. Stoke is a beast on the road.

The downward spiral of AVB is picking up speed....and the EPL teams continue to crap the Champions League bed.

Torres got dropped from Spain for their upcoming Friendly and is not a lock to be in the Euro 2012 squad.
Amazing 180 degree change...considering it was Torres who scored the championship winning goal 4 years ago.
What is wrong with this guy? He was great with Atletico Madrid...and world class with Liverpool. By all reports, his lingering injuries are over so this must be all mental at this point.
If I didn't despise Nando as much as I do, I'd actually feel sad for the guy.

I think he's still got it in him. somewhere. He just looks lost, more than lost ability. Looks like he's thinking too much instead of just pulling the trigger. Chelsea's a cluster as it is, so it's doubly hard to break out when the whole team is crapping the bed. I'd put in a bid for him, within reason. He wouldn't have to put in all the goals and our morale is really good, so I think it'd give him a lift. But it would have to be a good deal. Could be worth the risk, but it's just that: a risk.
I don't feel bad for him. I think he made a poor decision, and is paying for it. He seemed like he was falling out of form before the move to Chelsea.

*whew* What a final...
Hats off to Cardiff on putting forth a gigantic effort at Wembley. Even late into the game, down a goal and dealing with team-wide cramps, they still fought hard and equalized.
I would have preferred a 3-0 or 4-1 drubbing but I'll gladly take the silverware off penalty kicks. Its good to see Stevie G and the boys smiling ear-to-ear again.

I disagree, the post game row was interesting.
All kidding aside I thought there were some really good players on display that may represent the future for the league returning to what it was, and that was with both teams having some players missing. More SES, Emanuelson, Vidal, Marchiso, etc, while phasing out the Robinhos and Zlatans of the world would be great for Serie A IMO.
