Personally, I don't think he's playing this year. He came to a Rockies game in July (he's buddies with Todd Helton), and one of the local radio guys ran into him in the press box. He said Peyton couldn't turn his head at all when they were chatting, he had to turn his entire body to make eye contact. That's not good; it may have gotten better since then, but there's no way he was throwing during most of the off-season. His arm has to be dead now.

Todd Helton was the starting QB at Tenn for the 1st game of Manning UT career.

I had a feeling he was gonna be out all year if he has had 3 neck operations and still is'nt better!if it's your finger or hand that's one thing, your neck is way too delicate!

Jack Del Rio's and Gary Kubiak's hot seats just got hotter. Maybe if Kubiak gets fired, the Texans will hire Kyle Shanny.

Whack a neck-brace on him (hell - stick him in a wheelchair...) and he'd still likely outperform Grossman and Beck for the starter's job...

Regardless of if he can ever play again,i hope peyton recovers quickly and has a great long life after football because the world with peyton manning in it is a whole lot better than one without him in it.

They're saying 3 months. Might as well shut it down for the year.
