says,"come on,it's The Redskins."Then he says Buffalo are real contenders.
Really pisses me off to here a guy the skins used to torch regularly let his personnal feelings cloud his judgement! what a tool!

Don't know who is worse,allen or Meril Hodge who was'nt much of a player or
commentator either.

Until the Redskins prove that they're actually a contender, I'm not going to go through the trouble of defending them against random commentators no one knows or cares about. I've been through that song and dance - the Zorn era taught me better.

Edit: That being said, Peter King and Len Pasquarelli are still and will always be giant tools.

Don't get so upset. I'm assuming it was a contender/pretender question, so he can only respond one way or the other. Why do you think it is personal? Also Eric Allen was a heck of a CB. We torched him but he got us too. He also played with the Saints and Raiders so if he says the Falcons or Chargers are pretenders will that be a personal bias too?

Until we play 4 quarters of solid football-in ALL PHASES-we are pretenders. It is as simple as that. There are plenty of issues on this team to worry about that I am not going to bother to listen to the "football analysts" at this point.

I will take my 2 wins and enjoy them for the moment-let's just hope we add a few more.

Who cares what Eric Allen says? The truth is though that the Redskins have been a joke under the Danny Era and I come to expect negative feedback from most everyone in the media. Now having said that, winning always changes everything.

Hmmm. I would have though for sure that Danny would've paid them for their PR by now. I hope he clears up that lawsuit soon so that he can get his money back to where its best used. lol

Perhaps, but I agree 100 percent with PK's take on the Skins in this weeks' MMQB:

"Not a believer yet. A win in Dallas a week from tonight would help."

I rarely watch the talking heads on network TV. It drives me nuts that they speed through game highlights only for 4 buttheads to sit around and talk about themselves for 5 minutes.

both of them are major A-HOLES! once in a while,they get lucky and get right.

Whether he's an A-Hole or not doesn't bother me. The content on MMQB is worth reading. I don't care much for PK's personality, so I tend to avoid him on TV. But his SI work is excellent.

This team has been one of the worst NFL franchises, in the Snyder era and even from 1993 onwards. NO ONE, and I mean NO ONE is going to go out on a limb for this team. Too many new players, REX GROSSMAN, last year with a 31st rated defense, etc. etc. for commentators, talking heads, sports radio guys to buy into this team yet.

This team won't get any kudos, winning predictions, extra time on NFL.com, good views from Peter King, etc until they earn it. Two straight wins is a start, but until we win 4-6 games more (out of the next 8 lets say) we're just not going to get respect. We haven't earned it. This has been a perennial loser for 18 years. Our owner is a jerk and doesn't have a clue about running an NFL franchise. Having said that, people WILL start to believe if this team plays some more good games. Shannihan/Allen have shown an ability to draft well, get some good FA, courage enough to dump older "fan favorites", and based on the PS and these first two games they are building a disciplined team on both sides of the ball.

If we win some more games, the commentators may come around. But not until we win the games.
