Shanahan Approval Poll Post Regular Season Game 3
We are back at it, and this week I had time to do the graph (remember we stopped undecided voting in week 1)

I was ready....I really, really was. I was ready to go over to approve with a win against Dallas. I prepared my mea culpa post, I was ready to do it.....
But I just can't, and I think you know why.
The problems with this team start at QB and Kyle. 3rd and 21 was an abortion, but we had multiple chances to win last night and our defense held Dallas to 18 points.
For the third straight week redzone playcalling was a joke. 2nd half playcalling was also a joke, playing with the lead was also a joke. And once again Grossman is turning the ball over late in games and in the red zone.
Winning masked alot of our holes but they were shown on National tv last night.
I am not however moving back to strobngly disapprove, not yet. I still think our biggest problem is Kyle Shanahan and if his dad can find a way to get rid of him and Grossman we will take steps to being a good team. If not then I will oprobably end up in strong disapprove before the end of year, if not next month

After being close to strongly approve after the last few weeks, I'm still in the midly approve camp. Poppa Shanny needs to reign in his son and Haslett. Tell them to think about time and situation.

I don't see how this team is going be a winner without a legit QB, a sound defensive scheme, and better play calling. There have also been significant positives such as improved defense and improved O-line play.
IMO, the positives remain in equal portion to the negatives. My vote is for neutral.

I'm right with you, I was ready to tip into the approval ranks with a win. Now its back down to strongly disapprove after a terrible playcalling in the 4 th qtr and down right giving the game away. We are improved overall, but then we were pretty daggone sad fb team, so there was really no where to go but up. Rex is the turnover machine!!!
He has to be thinking protect the ball on that last drive. WTF does anyone else not see he is costing us games.
I wish we still had DMC.

I'm still in the strongly approve camp.
We're a real football team now, and that feels good. I still think with better personnel in key positions (which should come in time), this team could be awesome.
A loss next week though....and I will have to review my opinion.

Down to mildly approve. I refuse to jump off the bandwagon because of a single loss...no matter how bad. I see this team at 3-1 at the bye after a win next week against the Rams and that overachieves my expectations.

I mildly approve, but some of the things that had me at disapprove reared their ugly heads last night. Sexy Rexy and his propensity to turn the ball over and be in general a crappy QB and Mike not reeling in his stupid, unqualified for the position son.
The W/L record is sufficient enough to have me at mildly approve, but I am not sure multiple games matching last night's efforts can keep me there. Kyle Shanahan blows chunks.

Still mildly approve. We have seen a more competent team, but now that next step is to start showing improvement in the areas they have been exposed.

we blew this one, but the team is still 2-1. I think they will be 2-2 going into the bye. I still feel as if this is a .500 team. I'm still on board because the team is looking better than last year so far. If they take a couple o lineman and a qb next year the skins could be pretty good. Ha, get tiried of saying it but i really think that next year we will be a real competitor and make the post season.

down to strongly disapprove because the lack of explosive offensive wr's is still an issue after we knew it was an issue last season. we have upgraded our wr position with more steady players but it doesn't help us as much on 3rd down and the ability to strike quickly from 60 or 70.
we gotta start adding the ability to score quickly sometimes its just too hard to work the ball downfield.
mix in the Redzone woes another holdover element of last season and Shanny is down to strongly disapprove in my eyes.
all the good teams in the NFC have big play wr, the Cowboys, Packers, Eagles, the Giants.
we are just deficient in that area.

No change, disapprove. When the team gives away a division rivalry game that was handed to you on a platter, it just makes me think of every other season in the last decade.

One of two things will happen, the team will look at this loss as a wake-up call and get there act together. If thats the case they will walk into St.Louis with a chip on there shoulder and beat the dog crap out of the rams. Otherwise this team will implode like normal. They will go to St.Louis, talk a big game but forget to show up. Right now I choose to believe they will look at this game as one that got away and they end up destroying St. Louis so I still approve of Shanahan.

We are of very similar minds, my friend. I couldn't agree more.
