We have lost 6 in a row and were swept by a Dallas team in which we let the win slip through our fingers both times.

Totally disaprove. Fire Mike and reboot!

Shanny has been a total failure to this point no need to play this wait and see game. He has been dealt a bad bad hand we were much worse off than most folks realize because after 2 full drafts we still don't have a bunch of good players.

No impact skill players offensively , 2 quality ol's, and no qb.

We need to go where the Niners have gone where the Lions went and thats rock bottom its clear to me now thats whats needed. Get higher picks in the draft and build with quality draft picks until the talent level is repleished with quality depth and a few elite players.

The Niners have Willis who might be the best at his position in the league, they have Davis one of the best at his position Gore.

The Lions have Suh and Calvin Johnson.

we don't have an elite player on the roster. we have no real depth, guys off the street are starting games for us.

as evidenced the league did their 100 best players of last season and we don't have a single guy in the top 100 thats how bad our talent level is. We need a couple great players. Some elite level talent guys who can flip the field alter games with a single play.

so we need to reach for greatness in the draft build young quality depth and give Mike a shot at this thing for the full 5.

He didn't intend us to be this bad he's not rebuilding at least not what he planned, he thought all this crap could work. But firing another coach doesn't help this franchise.

I voted "Strongly Disapprove" this time, (although "Very Dissatisfied" would actually be a more accurate description of how I feel). I made that choice based solely upon our record this year.

Having said that, I will reiterate what I've said in other places on this board. I believe that the ultimate fate of the Shanahan era will come down to which QB we draft during the upcoming off-season, the other players selected through the upcoming draft, and the progress that is able to be achieved during the '12-'13 season.

If we draft a QB with some real potential, draft some other good players at positions of need, and see the team headed in an upward direction as indicated by the '12-'13 W-L record, then I still think this era has a chance.

If, on the other hand, we don't draft a great QB prospect, (or draft a great one and still start Grossman or Beck), and we spend too much money on the wrong ancient free agents, and keep this dreadful, incestuous OC of ours, then I might start to think that the Shanahan era will end as a complete failure. I hope it doesn't turn out like this. I really do.

Well, the bus is crowded, it doesn't have any seatbelts, and some dude in the back seat is lighting his own farts.

I voted strongly disapprove because there's just no way I can look at the product on the field and vote anything else. Having said that, I think it's hypocritical to call for Shanny's head now or this offseason. I am pretty sure a bunch of us said we'd take a couple of seasons to completely retool and be a contender for 10 years and it appears that's what Shanahan is doing.

As far as QB, is Gabbert as good of a prospect as Barkley or RGIII (we should get a shot at one, if not both, of these guys)? That's why I think Shanahan not taking a QB was a good thing because you don't take a QB unless you think he is THE guy. Other than that, who else was available? Kolb? Palmer? No thanks, I've seen that film, didn't much approve of it. As Peyton Manning and Drew Brees proved, QB makes a world of difference. I will call for Shanny's head if Rex is starting in 2012 with nobody behind him we can call a potential franchise QB.

hovering between mildly and strongly disapprove

Helu, Hankerson (before injury), Paul (before injury) Jenkins (before injury), Neild, Kerrigan, Gomes (14 tackles yesterday ) Hightower (before injury) Young, Riley show reason for hope

Rex, Beck, Torain, and no young QB are anchors around this team's neck

Wash, rinse, repeat. We should definitely fire Shanahan because firing the coach has worked out so many times for this franchise.

almost as much as letting a coach who is obviously lost it continue to destroy the franchise

I guess we're going to disregard the past 18 years or so when we say he's destroying the franchise?

With regard to this argument, I re-submit my comments at # 34 above. Who agrees or disagrees? I believe I've summed it up pretty damn well.
