I could see Holmgren going after a proven veteran and using McCoy as a backup, with a mid-to-late round QB as an understudy.

Holmgren placed a clipboard in McCoy's hands and only allowed him to play when there were no other options.

Colt McCoy will have a very short NFL career. He took several knockout punches in college and is very prone to concussions. He can't take many more "Harrison hits".

Blackmon is a stud. But I'm also intrigued with Alshon Jeffery from South Carolina. 6'4" decent speed. 4 receptions, 148 yards thus far against Nebraska.

I really want a receiver that can go up for the jump ball in the red zone.

Wow, just saw a replay of Alshon Jeffery going up over the top in a crowd to pull down a Hail Mary pass as time expired in the first half of the South Carolin/Nebraska game. This guy is 6'4 and built. The only negative was that he was thrown out of the game for getting into a fight with a defensive back from Nebraska.

I think you are right. And it's a God that prefers His (or Her) quarterback to have a good arm.

In fairness, all Jeffrey did was push the DB, while the Nebraska player was the one who threw a punch. Jeffrey should have gotten 15, not tossed.

Thanks for clearing that up. I didn't see the skirmish. All I saw was a replay of a very impressive catch, and a mention that he was tossed out of the game later. Still 4 receptions, 148 yards is not too shabby.

I love Jeffery. But our resident South Carolina expert has assured me he won't be coming out this year.

To whom?

There is noone in the top 5 that needs a WR other than Cleveland. You think they take a WR and not RGIII?

You don't think the Rams could use a new WR?

Dunce? Really? So now not only are you not credible, which you've never been on this site, frankly, but you have to resort to name calling as the first line of defense when questioned? Tells me all I need to know.
