I blame Matt Barkley as well for all of this mess...
Hopefully he gets drafted by some team and turns out to be a total bust, because no matter what we aren't drafting him next year now....

Based on the character of some of his teammates I dont know that I buy everything that has been said, however I agree he hasnt lived up to being the 5th overall pick, so yeah it was a bad analogy, almost as bad as Boller lol. And Campbell, well I'll pass on him too, maybe less turnover prone but very pedestrian to say the least. And in regards to Rex I didnt say I wanted him back, just that I think he will be lol.

I think I'd prefer they take Weeden in the 2nd than reach on Tannehill early. Tannehill has intriguing athleticism but the comparison to Boller kinda falls in line with my thinking. With Weeden they get a more polished product and if it turns out he can't play then you can use a pick next year in what should be an potentially better crop of yong QB's.

The thought of Weeden being our QB doesn't excite me at all.
I would prefer to see us trade the farm for RGIII than get him.
I'd like to see us get Matt Cassel or someone of that sort to come start and draft a QB like Keenum in the 3rd or 4th to develop. Use the number one on a WR/CB/OT to start day 1 (barring RGIII is not there)

I tend to agree, if Weeden is for real then maybe we get 5-7yrs out of him. Thats better than what he have gotten recently.

LMAO ....the Skins have only gotten 5-7 years (WITHOUT the use of a backup) out of since Joe Theismann.
Getting 3-4 good years out of a QB who produces would be a big step forward.

some odds from kevin sheehans prespective of espn980 on this subject
Let us count the starting quarterback possibilities for the Skins on opening day, 2012 and place some odds. There are no clear-cut favorites.
Rex Grossman-- 4:1
Kyle Orton-- 4:1
Robert Griffin III-- 4:1
Peyton Manning-- 6:1
Matt Flynn-- 8:1
Ryan Tannehill-- 10:1
Veteran Free Agent Other Than Grossman, Orton, Manning, or Flynn-- 15:1
Field-- 15:1
Rookie QB Other Than RG3 or Tannehill-- 20:1
Veteran Traded For (i.e Bradford, Yates)-- 25:1

Looks like the Browns, Seahawks and/or Dolphins would have to give up a pick if true...
