Just saying that IF they want the deal to happen, it WILL happen
In the real world, it can't happen. The skins couldn't take on 20-30 million in cap charges this year(and another 50-60 million over the next 3 years), the Rams can't deal the contract until 2014 at the earliest. And looking at the Rams contracts: they don't have a lot of big contracts that they can redo to make any significant room. Bradford takes up a TON of their cap situation.

Let it go Shally, its a pure fantasy.

I'm going to go with: deal in place with Rams, as we were reported to be talking with them and that is what I really really really want to happen.
I agree. I thought as soon as Fisher took over that we would deal for the second pick. Shanahan is very good friends with Jeff and in my opinion this deal would help both teams. The Rams get the 6th pick and the 39th pick to go along with pick 33. They could take there two high second round picks to move back up in the draft and select Jeffery or Floyd. So essentially with them trading away RGIII they could walk away with Reiff or Martin and Jeffery or Floyd, not to shabby.

maybe.. but right now, IF this rumor is true, it means that we have either tampered with a player under existing contract, or someone has traded a draft pick early that it could possibly make sense to do so...

bradford being 1/16 cherokee ,and a citizen of the cherokee nation do you think if he was tradeable that he would do anything to help out with a trade with all the talk over the years about the redskins changing their name, not sure myself
sean locklear of the lumbee tribe who was with us last year played so he must not have had a problem with the name.

Money talks. I think Bradford will play for anyone who'll pay him.

I would opt for packaging him as "Tex Hossman". Jerry Jones goes all-in, trading 6 draft picks for a Romo replacement.

I suspect Dennis Greene is having some grown up converstaions about not talking out of your a$$ when trying to impress your sailing buddies. I suspect he has heard about the QB that the Skins would like to acquire, but he's running with the rest of this trying to look cool for the popular kids.

amen...

but the larger issue is, if this is even remotely true, how can you settle on a qb when you dont even begin to know who is available, either in free agency or in the draft when you are picking ??

this sounds like the kind of stuff you do to prop up lagging ticket sales and generate excitement about a team that has been very unexciting for some time now

maybe Bradford was acceptable to Fisher, but new regimes prefer new QB's
That's why I said "one of the" and not "the" reason. I heard rumblings that the Rams QB situation was preferred.
