Hall of Fame vote
I didn't see this thread anywhere, so I thought I would start one.
Amazingly, there's no information on the NFL website about this year's list.
so here's the list
http://www.profootballhof.com/enshri...012-finalists/
Also amazingly is that I didn't realize the Tuna was up for election this year.
If I have to make some picks, I think Bettis, Carter, Curtis Martin, Parcells,Shields and the 2 Senior Committee selections get the call.

Couldn't happen to a nicer guy.
Having said that, this continuing logjam at WR is really a farce.

Congrats!

That's a pretty good class. Roaf definitely deserved to go in. He was pretty awesome from day one (unlike some highly drafted left tackles I can think of).

Honestly, that's all I cared the last couple of years. Monk didn't deserve it, right Cris? How does that feel now?
Back to topic, I'm not so excited about this year's class. Doleman over Haley? mmm... Kennedy? Martin?

If he had shown the grace of Monk and not coveted the award so much he may have been in by now. I believe his play deserves it but I wonder how much the personality plays in the decision.

Glad to see the writers getting tired of Mr. Whiny's antics.

Would you rather have Chris Carter on your team instead of Willie Roaf, Dermotti Dawson, Curtis Martin, Chris Doleman or Cortez Kennedy? I sure as hell wouldn't. He's really not in the class of those other players at all. He has a ton of stats, but if you could measure the stats/impact ratio for a guy, I'm pretty sure he'd be top 10 all time.

Am I the only one wondering why C. Martin is in the HOF? He was a good back but is he really worthy of the HOF?

Completely agree. I always thought he was kinda boring. I never thought of him as a game changer or someone with star power.... Nothing.

Yeah, Martin is sort of a head-scratcher, but with the way that running backs are being de-valued now, it doesn't bother me that much that he is in.
I'm glad Bill Parcells didn't get in. He should have to wait a while. Man, he really helped to screw up the Dolphins. I doubt he's getting any votes from the Miami people.
