What POSITION Will the Redskins Draft with their First Draft Pick
OK, We've spent a lot of time talking about QB. It's obviously a position of dire need, unless you like watching Mr. TURNOVER find imaginative new ways to give the ball to the other team. However, our draft position may be a little too high to get our "Mr. Wonderful QB for the next decade". At least in the first round.
So we have to seriously look at a Plan B or C. I'm giving you 9 choices of what position you think we go for with our first pick. What say you? Make your mark. With a good response we may run this after the Combine to see how much it all changes.

I never thought I'd be saying this because I hope we trade up for RGIII (if he shows his potential at the combine). But we may not have the juice to get him or he simply may be overrated. Next choice is Khallil at OT but I think he will be gone also;
We go for the BPA at WR, then QB, then OL until we drop.

BPA regardless of position. Right now, I'd say WR or CB.

I'm with you. I hope for a trade up to RGIII. If we get outbid then what's the Plan B? So you're saying trade down then spend the First round on someone like Tannehill even though he is a projected second or third rounder?

You assume there is a plan lol
Seriously I expect us to trade down ad get a project qb in 3 or 4 and then role with Rex. I hate it, I think it is an abortion of a season waiting to happen, but Shanny has put us there. We have no ammo to move up and Barclay going back along with some unfortunate wins means we are not in a great position. Picking 6-10 and havign an aging losing squad is not a desirable position by any stretch of the imagination

OL
even with or without a trade back.. the uncertainty around Williams, and the fact that Willie Smith is still very raw, and Jammal Brown's health make this a priority.. there are some great prospects who will be available to us at 6, or even as far back as 10-12
we will draft a QB in the second round, or with a trade back up into the end of the first round

I'd love to say we'll get blackmon,but he won't be there when we pick at 6,clauborne from LSU will be so i think he is who will end up a redskin on draft day in round 1. i think miami moves up and takes rg 3.

seems we are always going through ground hog day cnyskinfan,each year we have to wait until next year to get that quarterback, you very well may be right
with your thoughts, but if you are (roll with grossman) i will spend next fall down at the old folks home chasing the women around rather than watching him

If we pick BPA at #6, I would go for WR (Blackmon, if available) or OL BPA.

I agree. I think either Reiff and Kalil should be present at 6 and assuming RG3 doesn't drop we should seriously consider this option. It is probably the most likely to succeed approach to upgrade our offense for many years to come.

I thnk we go oline and hopefully Left tackle and then move Williams to RT. At least if he decides to hit the bong again we still can protect our qb's blind side. And if Williams and his agent don't like it trade him. But if Williams decides to get it together we have book end tackles for hopefully years and years to come.
