I think Snyder went nuts when Payton wouldn't visit right away and overpayed to get the deal done now. Wow... I wanted RGIII too but I am not sure at this cost.. I thought this is what it would cost to get luck not RGIII.
there are a couple of draft gurus who think RGIII is going to be the better qb

We have been a mediocre team for 2 decades. I think Rg3 is special and I can't wait to see him in the B&G. I'm "all in" as well. I'm ordering my RG3 jersey the first day it is available.

Going to bed happy....

the good reason is he knows he better win next year or he and his rat face son are unemployed....forever

Absolutely. You have to build an offense around him now. Nicks, VJax, a good RT and more.

Looks like the Browns were going all in as well and we beat them to the punch. If this story is true then I dont feel as bad about what we payed.

http://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/76...-st-louis-rams

"The Browns had stepped up their efforts to try to acquire the No. 2 pick in recent days, going so far as to offer at least three No. 1 picks to the Rams and possibly even the second-round pick, according to one source familiar with the deal."

3 1st Round Picks + a 2nd to move up 4 spots is just asinine. We will have to wait for the facts to come out, but if we are willing to throw that much down, what is the rush? You can't possibly tell me there is another team that stupid who is going to compete with this deal.

Also, why not just trade up for Luck if we are willing to sell our souls to satan for a qb?

george allen, to some extent also.. he considered it a failure if he had ANY draft picks left.. of course, he used the picks to get Veteran players, but he HATED the draft with a blue passion

See ESPN Article, The Browns were willing to pay it too it looks like. If that is true it was smart of the Redskins to beat them to the punch to get the guy they belived in.

I'd prefer to take a shot on RG3 instead of manning or flynn but wow. I'm hoping he's wrong on the picks it's going to cost unless the rams are throwing a player in or conditional on RG3 performance.

I agree. Really risky move - and the Skins are going to have to play him sooner rather than later.

That's the complete deal? if so that's not too bad lol. At least we can free up the Friday of the next 3 draft weekends to spend time with thefamily.

Pop champagne! Is colkurtz around yet, or are they still defibrillating?
