You play the QB that gives you the best shot at winning. We do not have a quarterback on the roster that gives us a better shot at winning than RG3. There could be an experienced free agent QB we sign that could serve as a mentor to RG3 and start the season, but I don't see anyone who could temporarily start over RG3 outside of David Garrard. Even Garrard would be new to the system and we might as well go with RG3 from day one.

I'd say at the latest he's the starter by week 4. Bit I think he starts week one

Agreed. I can't think of many (any) free agents out there right now, that they could reasonably sign, who could come in, learn the system, and be demonstratively better than RGIII from day one.

Once again, I think OTAs, training camp and preseason performance will prove whether he is up to starting on day 1. His performance will do the talking, and Shanny will make the decision whether to start him or hold him back.

RG III running a 10 play repertoire would do better than Rex. He can create.

God i wish we had a competent veteran backup/mentor. Praying that Manning goes to Tennessee and maybe we sign Hasslebeck. Hell, i'd take Garrard over Gross. man. at this point...

If Garrard's back is fine, he'll make a great back up.

I will not be totally ok with things if we dont re-sign London and get a real backup. And no, I dont view Rexy as a real backup. Afraid our staff might differ on both of those points however.
