Official 2012 Washington National Season
Well this should be a interesting if not entertaining season. The Nats can't be considered anyones door mat anymore and I think there's allot of high expectations this year.
Myself, I think this club could be as good as 5-15 games above .500. Maybe even a post season appearance (fingers crossed). I fully attend on making it down to the park at least 2-3 times this season with a field trip schedule for Philly in August ........

Him and Desmond both deserved game balls.

Nats could be decent this year. Last year they exceeded my expectations by a pretty good margin. This year I see no reason why they shouldn't be significantly better.
If Ryan Zimmerman stays healthy, Jordan Zimmerman is allowed to pitch 200 innings instead of 160, Strasburg pitches 160 innings instead of 90 or whatever it was, Werth bounces back a little, Edwin Jackson pitches in line with his history, Ian Desmond continues to hit well as he did at the end of last season, Brad Lidge adds another good option to an already good bullpen.
Come to think of it there is a alot to be excited about here.

Ditto. If only every team had the Wood-Marmol Experience going for them.

Tough L today, but that guy Samardzija pitched a hell of a game. Still nice to take the first series of the season though.

SS look good yesterday but 100 + pitches this early into the season. Wow - I'm not sure that is a good thing.

He was on fire. Davey said he still had plenty of gas left when he took him out. With this bullpen he doesn't have to pitch more than what he did though.

The number 4 pitcher throws a Complete game with one run given up and the Nats improve to 7-2. That is pretty exciting.
