There have been several cases thrown out by judges because of the wording that cops are using in their police reports in regards to DUI's or traffic stops involving drinking. If a cop mentions that he smells alcohol on the breath of a person, then he could be jeopardizing his case. Alcohol by definition is "ordorless," and therefore has no smell. Alcoholic beverages on the other hand have a smell. It's all in the wording, but I have heard of people beating cases because of the wrong choice of words by the cops.

Now this certainly doesn't dismiss his stupidy!

Unfortunately, there appear only to be two safeties coming out capable of starting their rookie years (Barron and Smith). We have to do a really great job of scouting to unearth someone with starting potential. I am really glad we signed Madieu Williams-I hope he still has something in the tank.

I strongly disagree with this. Cutting people prior to the disposition of their cases is a prematurely overreactive play right out of Goodell's playbook. Chances are he is guilty, but we don't know that for sure at the moment (although the mug shot doesn't look good at all). We signed him, may as well let him compete and see what value he brings to the team on the field.

Agreed. What concerns me even more is that the mug shot is just begging for a blood test for marijuana.
