There's no guilty mind (lawyers, help me out, is that mens rae?) if you wind up drinking and driving.
Hence, I disagree with your point on Russian Roulette. You're talking about a gun and ammunition. I can't call that analogous to someone operating a vehicle while intoxicated.

This post has to be marked as a Historical one on hR. I can't believe I just read this. A person who supports drinking and driving. Wow, just wow.

Yeah, I think that is a first... Even for us. I am floored.

Ugh, this guy is going to turn out to be (more of) a nightmare. Less than a month after his DUI, per his Twitter, Merriweather is spending his Memorial Day weekend at "Champagne Warz" in Miami Beach, hosted by Jim Jones and Juelz Santana of the Dipset.

I'm all for having some fun, but this guy hasn't even made it to training camp yet, and this is a direct reflection on his poor decision making. It's hard to give him the benefit of the doubt when he has a fresh DUI, and a history of gun play.

I agree with you, but shanny did get rid of albert haynesworth for being a turd so i'm assuming that he will do the same with merriweather. I understand that this teams needs all the safety help that it can get but I hate this signing.

As I said before, I don't care about players personal lives. As long as they show up on the field (or can show up) I am happy.

I think this poster was basically saying we probably all have been guilty of drinking and driving at some point, but Brandon just happened to get caught. That is what I got out of his post anyway.

ESPN 980 has learned thru a Arlington County, VA legal source, that #Redskins SS Brandon Meriweather's DUI case has been resolved. He pled No Lo Contendere, was found Guilty, fined $300, and also got a 180 day jail term that was all suspended.

awaiting the hammer from God-ell.
Nice knowing you Brandon.
I'm just trying to imagine who will be on the field against the Saints?

Why would Goodell have waited this long?

might have to go into some kind of program or he will likely draw something bad from the Voice of God

I'm betting it's both.
He'll be sentenced and as a condition to reduce the punishment there'll be a stipulation of entering/completing a program.

To allow the justice system a chance to play itself out?
Guilty sentences/No-Contest-Pleas probably bring a stiffer punishment than a Not-Guilty......he will probably receive max punishment for the No-Contest plea.

I know you're just trying to be funny, but it seems like six in one hand, half a dozen in the other with the guys we have. I honestly don't care one whit who starts among them. It probably won't be the guy who finishes the season at the position anyway.

Is there precedent for any of this?
Because I would think the punishment will be for driving while intoxicated. I can't imagine what he and his representation decided was the best course of legal strategy matters to the league.
