Every one deserves a chance, esp this poor kid, and the PR wouldn't hurt.

If he does go to college, the NFL-NCAA should waive the rule requiring him to play at least two years of college and allow him to turn pro after one year.

If I were Banks, I would take steps to enroll in college but I would also workout for teams this summer and if invited go to a training camp. It I make a roster, then postpone college. And, I would pick a team without a settled LB corp--the Redskins would seem to be a pretty good choice.

So because we're offering a tryout to a guy who had a consensual sexual encounter we should be offering tryouts to dudes who commit incest? You lost me.

This is all PR about giving someone a second chance. Why not give a real second chance to someone who committed a stupid, but nonviolent crime, and who's more qualified to play pro ball than Banks?

My preference would be avoiding criminals as much as possible.

And this is exactly why Banks never got a real "second chance" after he got out of prison.

I can't believe someone has an issue with this. We can try out everyone on the planet if we'd like.

He doesn't deserve a second chance because he never gave up the first one....I'm just glad he is out and getting an opportunity he probably was going to get.
