Then it looks like Austin will be gone.

He has been here long enough and hasn't showed anything.

Look, who was throwing him the ball? He made a few catches and scored a TD when he got into games (there were only so many ballas to go around).

I'll be surprised if he's gone.

Just thinking out loud. I think he's on the bubble to make the team
The issue with almost any screen is you have to beat at least one guy and its very rare that the defender doesn't at least get a hand on the receiver. Banks would have to break that tackle and that's a huge stretch.

I disagree on Moss. It's easy to look good when both your competitors are sitting on the sidelines. Conversely, I think the idea of "starting" is an outdated concept. Moss and Garcon might be on one package that happens to start the first game and Hankerson and Morgan might be on the package that starts the next game.

Somebodies got to go. It wouldn't shock me if it were him. As far as who was throwing him the ball, the same could be said for all the receivers. One thing I know from playing sports even in high school. If you're one of the best players in practice, you're going to see the field unless you're a total screw up in other ways. Personally I think Anthony Armstrong might benefit more than anyone from the new quarterback.

As far as Robinson goes, wasn't he the returner who dropped/fumbled two or three balls in his debut effort. Hope they got that little issue ironed out.

I think they'll ALL benifit by haveing a new QB. But that being said here is the number of catches by player on the chart I listed:

Pierre Garçon 70
Santana Moss 46
Leonard Hankerson 13
Josh Morgan 15
Anthony Armstrong 7
Terrence Austin 12
Aldrick Robinson 0 (Rookie)
Brandon Banks 1

So, after Garson and Moss, where's your standout?

And when you say somebody's got to go, last year we kept 8 (even though Banks was primarily a returner) so say we keep 7. If Banks is out there's your 7 and if they only want 6 active then a late round rookie pickup at or near the bottom of the depth chart is probably going to get stashed on the PS. So there you go back to what I said befeore.

Until I see something on the field with Griffin, I think we have a whole lot of "meh". None of these guys is a true game-changing athlete.

I can't visualize keeping 7 WRs, especially since the Skins are likely to keep at least 4 TEs, one of whom (Paul) can play WR in a pinch. Further, there does not seem to be any WR past the first 5 or 6 who would likely make a compelling case to be on the 53-roster. I wouldn't be shocked if only 5 WRs are kept.

Moreover, there appears to be a crowd at the backup positions on the offensive line. Don't be surprised if Shanahan keeps an extra Olineman (10 in total), because that player is more worthy than a 6th or 7th WR.

I still see Lance Lewis making the roster or PS.

Think Moss and Garcon will be our primary targets at WR.
