Default MIKE VICK

Sorry, but I just have to say this guy is the most amazing athlete I've ever seen. Period. He moves like the wind, is strong as an ox and has more heart than Secreteriat(sp). I love Ramsey but if Little Vick is anything like his big brother, I can't help but wonder what he could do in SS's system. I mean, these guys are superhuman!!! I would love to see Mike Vick. in a skins uniform. He's not just good, he's AMAZING. He makes everyone around him that much better. He even makes his defense better. Maybe I should go to a falcons forum to post this but as football fans I think we all have to agree that we are watching an absolute superman and legend in the making. All I can say is WOW.

How many TDs did he pass for? What was his QB rating? He does not deserve this sort of hysteria just yet. He needs some pocket smarts or he is not going to last long: he takes big hits when he scrambles. He has amazing feet, but he needs to utilize his amazing arm more; he is a QB, right? SS is not high on rushing QBs, but I doubt their is a team out there that would not take him.

Vick is the Truth. I watched him at VTech "In Person" for all of their home games during the season they went to the Sugar Bowl. The guy has an arm and has some good eyes (not to mention some quick feet). Once he settles in some...... he will live up to the hype. I know he ran for as many yards as he threw pretty much. The Falcons drafted him because he can do things that few NFL QB's are able to do and he does it better than them..... The commentators even compaired Vicks running style to Barry Sanders during the game.

Vick-.........too much hype........dont place your bets just yet.......Trust me on that......

Now I am not saying he will not be a good QB-just saying he is not "The Answer" to NFL QB position........Oh and no I would not want him (or little bro) on the Skins.......

He already met the hype. Last year.

More proof? His team, the lowly Falcons, beat Carolina.

He's the best rushing QB of all time (stats are already backing that up) but it'll take some time for him to become an excellent passer. But there is no denying how good he is right now.

He did what it took to win. He's not even in rhythm with his teammates yet, so he used streetball to will his team to a win.

Watching him play is similar to watching a college football game... where there are a few players who are just exceptional and they stand out.

I've hardly seen flashes of that in the pro game... Vick has that.

I love Vick. If he stays healthy, he's just unstoppable.

Oh, by the way, I'm moving this to the NFL Forum where it belongs. Good topic, though.

The Falcons won despite Vick last night. The adoration by the commentators was over the top. They talked about how great he was and this and that and then came my favorite line: "Well he's never been a real accurate passer" Really?!! Isn't he a quarterback?

Amazing athlete? Yes. Great quarterback? No.

No no no no no. The Falcons won because of Vick. The last interception was bad, but he made several great runs to get the Falcons back in the game. He had over 140 rushing yards and about 180 yards passing. He WAS the Falcons offense and surely the Falcons offense had something to do with the win. Vick is not a great pure passer yet, but that's okay. Neither was Favre until about 1995. It took McNair about five or six years to round into the player he has become. Vick almost single-handedly took his team to the playoffs in his first year as a starter and then did what no one had ever done before: Beat Green Bay at home in the playoffs. Vick makes everyone on his offense so much better. He makes his offensive line better by scrambling around and avoiding sacks and he makes his receivers much better by buying extra time for them to get open. No one gets as much time to get open as a Falcons receiver. If he can stay healthy [which is the caveat with any player] Vick will dominate the NFL by 2005. Hell, it might happen even sooner than that.

Mobile QB's always seem to get hurt int he end... and that worries me about Vick as well. Look at what McNair is going through with his knees... the man is a walking pain-bomb.

They either get hurt or their coaches try to turn them into pocket QB's and take away their advantage.

So his accuracy isn't great, huh? Well, we've got our own first-year starter on our team, anyone wanna remind us of what his completion percentage is for the season?
