Default I hate to say it guys but I told you so.

I hate to be right on this one but I told everybody on this forum that the moves the Skins made this off season were bad. The Skins have done nothing to fix their biggest weakness. The front four might be the worst in football. Instead they get a WR (who is quickly becoming my favorite player on the team) who we didn't need. The Bears again exposed this weakness. I said that we would be lucky to win 8 games this year. The Cowboys beat us again. (twice) The second game being the worst game I have ever seen a NFL team play in my life. I DON'T EVEN WATCH FOOTBALL ANYMORE. That is how bad this year has been. Now is there anybody out there that wants to tell me that we need anything else more then we need DL HELP! We are quickly becoming the worst fanchise in the NFL.

We have a coach that likes to throw the ball deep. Most teams that throw deep have speedy receivers that can hold on to the ball on their rosters to help with this game plan. Since we had no WR on our roster last year to fit that description, how was Coles not a need?

Lets not forget that we signed Noble and Fiore to upgrade both Lines...however, Noble never made it to a regular season game and Fiore didn't last past the first 1/4 of the season. Those were very tough injuries on the team...

Because we needed DL help 10 times more then we needed WR help. Giving up a 2nd round pick on top of all that money just mutiplied the mistake 10 fold. Sure wr was a need but all you have to do is look at our record to see that the team made the wrong decision picking up Coles instead of trying to improve our most glaring need DL. IMO

Think about this then. Without Coles, where does this offense go? Remember who was hired to coach this team and why. Also, what d-lineman in the draft is paying great dividends RIGHT NOW? Robertson sure isn't doing it for the Jets, so I'm not buying that drafting a d-lineman would have us magically in the playoffs this year.

I disagree with you about Coles. He was a major upgrade for the Skins and is a warrior, certainly better than anyone we would have drafted in Round 1.

The year started with Noble and Big Daddy at DTs. If I remember correclty, you were upset that the Skins didn't do more to keep Gardener. I'm sure signing him to a long term deal would have been the correct thing to do.

Hindsight is always 20/20.

BBall...welcome back first of all

Second, the off-season moves that were made, were not bad. There wer emoves made that were bad, but not all. Leaving Gardener, Powell, and Big Daddy go with cast offs from other teams. That was a disaster. As far as Davis, it was two fold. Spurrier did not want him, nor coudl we afford his cap hit and still upgrade certain positions. Davis was unwilling to restructure.

John Hall was an excellent move. He has missed the last two games, but they were in wintry conditions last week, windy conditions this week. Overall, excellent pickup.

Randy Thomas shoudl ahve been named to the pro bowl. he has had an outstanding year.

Bradon Noble. We just don't know what difference he woudl have made.

Matt Bowen was a very solid pick up.

Trung Canidate, some will disagree, but to me was a horrendous pick up.

Chad Morton was ok. Not that Impressive to me, too much money for what we got.

Overall, not bad except DLine and RB. Spurrier underestimated the nee of a good, solid running game in the NFL.

The Redskins are at least consistent. We have about 10 years now of not being able to stop the run. Even last year we were ranked high because out offense was always giving up the ball inside our own territory so the yardage stats were very misleading. Remember that San Fransisco game last year thaey ran for 200 yards against us.

Why year after year this team doesn't address the defensive line and the real needs of the team...I don't know. Dave Fiore? Are you kidding me? You try to fix a horrible offensive line by signing a high priced free agent who is coming of KNEE problems?

You don't fix ANY area of your team by signing somebody coming off of a serious injury....somebody who can't finish a season. Thomas was a good signing but lets get real about JANSEN and Samuels. They have a hard time run blocking and they get beaten on the pass rush waaaaaay to much. Our line needs about 3 replacements....not 1.

And don't think that IF we draft a d-lineman in the frist round this year, it's going to solve that problem. We need to resign Russell, get him in shape, sign a FA DE with size and speed, AND draft a couple of young talents (1st & 3rd draft choice - 2nd for the running back).

Coles was an excellent pickup for this team. Yes, the dline wasn't addresses as it should have been but drafting would not have solved the problem this year. Thomas has been the most consistent of our olinemen this season. I agree with PSF that he should have made the Pro Bowl.

I definitly know we need help at DL, but most importantly I think we need help in defensive philosophy. Correct me if I'm wrong but when Ray Rhodes, and then later Marvin Lewis (each staying 1 year)took over as DC our def. improved drastically over the the teams previous year with basically the same players. Was it that many changes to our defensive staff?

Brandon Noble wouldn't have done jack $hit. He's about as much of an 'upgrade' as Ade Jimoh.

woah lets not say things we can't take back here.

Noble was a guy who could absorb blocks, not really a playmaker but he would have kept the guards off the linebackers.
