Default Link b/w G. Williams & J. Gibbs

Is there a link b/w Gibbs and Williams? I am very happy Williams is the DC but I wonder why Gibbs choose Williams.

I'm not sure about a link. I'm starting to believe that since Snyder and Gibbs were talkinmg about this since New Year's Eve, Gibbs looked around to see who was the best DC available, and IMO Williams fits the bill (no pun intended).

Could Williams be the next head coach once Gibbs retire? Could Gibbs be training Williams to take over once he retires again?

I know Williams was a head coach but we know that Gibbs is not going to be here for 5 years. Could the front office be prepare for life without Gibbs?

PSF and I were contemplating that scenario earlier today, and we agreed that it could be a possibilty.

It would be smart for the FO to plan ahead... and hopefully with Joe helping guide that will turn out.

We just have to hope that Williams does for Gibbs what Petitbon did. One of the things that helped Gibbs be such a great offensive coach was that he could just leave the defense alone and he knew things would be okay. Petitbon would handle it.

If the worst thing we have to worry about is why we selected Williams or what his future role will be then Im finally at peace after a decade of anguish.
