Default Coy Gibbs

Just when I was about to make my post:

"JD Gibbs, Coy Gibbs and Victor Lawrence NOT to join the coaching staff"

and fully praise Joe for bringing in only seasoned professionals instead of the rash of sons, brothers and nobodies with no experience, I read that Coy is looking to join the staff.

Not a big deal. The man is a GOD and can do what he likes and besides that probably bringing the average experience of his coaching staff from 32 years to 31.8 years.

HAIL REDSKINS!!!

The kid has been arounf football his entire life and played Pac 10 football in college. I can see him being an assistant LB Coach or something like that (thats what he played in college).

Coy's a driver in the Busch Series. I don't see why he'd want to be a coach. And JD is running Joe Gibbs Racing now, somebody has to run it, right.

THe USA Today said that he started in racing too late to make it out of AAA and has a desire to coach.

Hye if Steve Spurrier is allowed to bring his kid here..then why not Gibbs. Look at the Mannings, hopefully some of that magic has rubbed off.

From the press conference it seemed as if coaching was what Coy wanted to do and Dad said maybe I'll go too...So as George Michael said, "They'll find a spot somewhere for the kid...maybe with the LB coaches since he played MLB."

I thought that Coy Gibbs was going to come on as assistant linebackers coach, maybe that was wrong.

I think Gibbs actually said Coy would be a coach.... assst. linebackers sounds like it'd be a good fit. Nothing major.

Yes Joe... I think I heard the same thing... Gibbs said his son Coy WAS going to be on the coaching staff.

Good, I like to see a father and son succeed together. Good luck to the Gibbs!

I am watching "The King is Back" a special on Joe Gibsb return and they interviewed Gibbs Live. He again talked about Coy and said he would be on the Skins coaching staff
