rb in draft
washington post says gibbs is looking at taking a starting rb in the draft...if he does do this it will obviously be one of the four and will change a lot of thoughts on the draft....maybe we will adress d line more through fa...i think that we will have more options there anyway...he also reinstates there will be no trade

I'm not gonna say Betts is the next Davis and he has not proved his durability last year, but I thought that he showed ability. I would not be surprised I he gets himself a starting job in July. We'll see. Just thinking that we are desperate for D line help and I was hoping for at least 1 good one in the draft in addition to any FA.

Yeah Betts has shown some ability and maybe Gibbs issued him a challenge by calling him a third down back.
I think of all the big named backs in the draft Stephen Jackson of Oregon State looks to be the best fit or maybe Greg Jones of Florida State, although he has had some issues with his knees I believe. Anyways no way does Jackson fall to #41 but if Jones is there he's a possibility.

Greg Jones would be a great catch. He would work well in Gibb's system. Him and Betts could compete for the starting job. I think we should trade Gardner for a pick in which we could get greg jones. Besides stephen Jackson is a cowboys fan. And I bet he'll go to the steelers anyway

Greg Jones would have been a good pick up in the 3rd but now we don't have a pick

Sure. The Washington post knows what gibbs is looking at in the 1st round.
The Post doesn't know jack and this is all smokescreens like 90% of most clubs put up at this time of year.
YOu guys need to stop being so gullable.

I still can not see Gibbs taking a rookie to start, that is just not the way Joe operates, I still say A. Smith will be the starter

A starting RB can be found in any round. A second round Greg Jones is a possibility. Who knows who will be there in round 5, maybe a Clarence Farmer or something.
I wish we did have a 3rd rounder to take Michael Turner.
