Default Favorite Madden Defensive Formations

What is your favorite D? I guess mine would be the Dime Underman (out of the Balanced D playbook). I also like the Nickel Blitz 9 Velcro as a zone D. Both for coverage against the pass. Any others?

I like the 4-3 Over and Nickle formations, assuming I'm playing with speedy linebackers. 4-3 over is my favorite, as I like blitzing Lavar 1/2 the time...

Let's see....

Nickel 3-3-5 is an absolute beast for me. The 3 Deep formation covers practically anything an offense can send at you, and the corner blitz is great for extra pressure while maintaining good coverage. I'll switch it up with Double Outside every once in a while for some man coverage. If I really need to stuff the run, I'll switch to the 46.

If you really need to cover deep, run whatever play you can find that's Cover 4 with man coverage underneath. Works wonders.

it depends on how the games going...4-3 over, has been just amazing against the run, less then 40 yards per game. although the dime cover 2 edge sets get me a pick 1 out of 5 times....when called at the right time of course.

I play the 4-3 Cover 2 during the first half mostly, then switch to the Nickel and Dime Formation, alternating blitzes and really put pressure on.

Which defensive playbooks are you all using? I just recently tried the 3-4 and after some getting used to it, it rocks. I don't know if I want to stick with the 46 now or the 3-4.
