Default Your old / actual opinion on Skins drafting Sean Taylor

After all the talk you have probably been part of, after Coach Gibbs hinted that he will keep the 5th overall, and after all the arguments have been exposed ( I think), what do you think about the Redskins drafting Sean Taylor?

Nothings changed - I love the idea of getting an immediate impact player instead of trading down, and I HOPE we don't go offense again and take Winslow.

I say draft Tommie Harris. The guy's an impact player in the trenches which is where you win games if last year was any indication.

Tommie Harris is not on the radar. Wilfork fits our plan better. He is a DT that takes up two o linemen every play. harris is big but is better suited as DE especially in a 3-4.
I like Taylor-- But if Gallery slips to 5 we draft him a hurry (doubt he will slip).
Other wise trade down and look for Wilfork or maybe Starks later.

Gallery? Why should we be drafting an OT? I don't see that happening.

Wilfork isn't on Harris' level .. he's had a highly medicore college career and was tagged as a 'great' draft prospect before he set foot on a college football field. He's proved nothing since then and does not occupy blockers or disrupt like Tommie Harris. And as far as Harris not being on our radar but wilfork being a better fit ..

Two other players who appear to be on Washington's draft board are tight end Kellen Winslow Jr. -- Taylor's teammate on the Hurricanes -- and Oklahoma defensive tackle Tommie Harris

Please god ... take Sean Taylor. Playmakers are hard to come by. Gibbs has done a great job filling holes in free agency to this point. When you have a pick in the top 5, I believe you have to take the best possible player available. In this case that should be Taylor.

Taylor will be that high impact player that you need and who will make an instant difference, so I can see why it would be a good choice, but there's also the logic behind trading down and picking quality guys on the line that are actually needed, like Harris and Wilfork, possibly Udeze. Whatever Gibbs chooses to do I will support, but I'm just torn between what to do here....

S. Taylor is the answer to what question the Skins have about their defense. ..... If you're honest you say he's NOT the answer to any defensive question but rather a good player. We need a defensive line to improve this team not a safety. ........ Look beyond the player and start thinking about the TEAM!!!!

Take him. Take Taylor. A potential ProBowl staple is to hard to pass up. Besides every Dl we think about taking has a "?" next to his name in some way, shape or form.
